These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of Neui. By adding, configuring, accessing, or using Neui, you agree to these Terms.
The short version
Use Neui only on servers you are authorized to manage, do not abuse or disrupt the service, and keep appropriate Discord permissions and independent security controls in place. Neui supports server security, but no automated system can prevent every incident.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You must meet Discord’s age requirements and be legally permitted to use Discord and Neui. If you use Neui for a server, organization, or other group, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms and configure the service on its behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not add or use Neui.
2. Service and permissions
Neui provides security, anti-raid, moderation, verification, and optional scanning features through Discord and the Neui dashboard. Features operate according to settings selected by server administrators.
Some protections require elevated Discord permissions and appropriate role placement. Administrators are responsible for reviewing the permissions requested by Neui, granting only what is appropriate for their server, and using the /requirements command to review current setup guidance.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Neui to:
- break applicable law, Discord policies, or the rights of another person;
- harass users, facilitate unauthorized surveillance, or collect personal information without a lawful and legitimate purpose;
- spam commands, intentionally overload the service, evade rate limits, or interfere with normal operation;
- probe, exploit, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Neui, its credentials, infrastructure, or stored data; or
- misrepresent Neui’s output or use automated moderation decisions as a substitute for appropriate human review.
Good-faith security reports are welcome through the contact methods below.
4. Administrator responsibilities
Server owners and administrators control which Neui features are enabled and remain responsible for their server rules, member communications, permission structure, moderation decisions, backups, and appeals.
Automated security systems can produce false positives or miss harmful activity. Administrators should review important actions and maintain independent safeguards for critical servers.
5. Discord and third-party services
Neui operates on Discord, so your use must also comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
Optional features may use third-party services such as OpenAI for content moderation and VirusTotal for file, URL, or domain analysis. Those services operate under their own terms and policies. Neui is not responsible for Discord or other third-party services.
6. Availability and changes
Neui may add, change, limit, pause, or discontinue features to improve security, maintain reliability, comply with platform requirements, or respond to abuse. Availability is not guaranteed, and maintenance or third-party outages may interrupt the service.
7. Suspension and termination
Access to Neui may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, repeated disruption, Discord policy violations, or a breach of these Terms. Server administrators may stop using Neui at any time by removing the bot and ending dashboard sessions.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Neui is provided on an “as available” basis. It is designed to assist with security and moderation, but it does not guarantee that every raid, harmful message, malicious file, service interruption, or data loss will be detected or prevented.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Neui’s operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of—or inability to use—the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
9. Privacy
The Neui Privacy Policy explains what information Neui processes, why it is needed, when third-party services are involved, and how to request access or deletion.
10. Changes and contact
These Terms may be updated as Neui’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date and document version at the top of this page identify the current Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
